On April 7th, 2010, Senator Collins visited our School. The students of 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades of the entire district were lucky enough to be able to some and see her. First, they watched the senator's slide show. The slides gave the students an idea of what her job was, what her typical day looked like, and highlighted some of the more amazing things she gets to do in her line of work. Amongst other things, she's met celebrities, (including one of the Jonas Brothers), and traveled to Antarctica to meet with environmentalists & penguins. After her slide show, the students got a chance to question the senator. They all seem very eager, and almost everyone had they're hands raised.
